Originally reimagined in 2019 by acclaimed heraldic artist Timothy Noad for The Royal Mint’s modern bullion programme, the Royal Arms design returned in 2021 for its third consecutive release. The reverse features the official Coat of Arms of the reigning monarch, a powerful composition that historically adorned shields and banners on medieval battlefields.
 
Rendered in a contemporary style, the design is set against a finely detailed field of radial lines, enhancing both visual depth and security. The obverse bears the portrait of the reigning monarch, completing a coin that seamlessly blends historic symbolism with modern minting excellence.
