Product Description:
The 2021 White Greyhound of Richmond is the tenth and final release in The Royal Mint’s renowned Queen’s Beasts series. This iconic collection celebrates the ten heraldic creatures that appeared at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation, each representing an important part of the monarchy’s ancestry. The White Greyhound brings the series to a distinguished close and symbolises loyalty, courage, and vigilance.
Linked to the House of Lancaster and later embraced by the Tudors, the White Greyhound has long been associated with noble strength and royal authority. The reverse of the coin features Jody Clark’s detailed depiction of the greyhound standing poised with a shield that carries the Tudor Rose. The surrounding text confirms the gold content, weight, and year of issue.
The obverse presents the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. The traditional inscription around the portrait confirms its legal tender status.
This coin has been graded and certified by NGC and is securely encapsulated to verify authenticity and protect its condition.
Grading Details:
A coin awarded an MS70 grade by NGC is recognised as a perfect mint state example. It displays no post production marks when examined under 5x magnification. Coins of this standard are highly desirable due to their flawless appearance and strong appeal among collectors and investors.
